Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Techland clarifies its roadmap for the end of the year, the 1st narrative DLC postponed

In addition to continuing to support the first Dying Light, Techland has already released several updates for Dying Light 2 Stay Humanrecently adding a mode New Game+ and various other novelties. The Polish studio previously shared a roadmap through June, stopping with the release of the first DLCs narrative. Well, a roadmap extending this time until the end of the year 2022 and even slightly beyond just went live, with a bad one for impatient players.

As you can see, the 1st DLCs narrative is postponed from June to September 2022 and Techland apologizes, but will not leave us with nothing this summer.

Dear Pilgrims, your opinion has always been our top priority. That’s why, at Techland, we strive to be as open and honest with you as possible.

Over the past few months, we’ve been focused on adding some of your most requested features, such as New Game+ mode, FOV slider for consoles, and lots of improvements for co-op. On top of that, in June, we’ll be showcasing the first chapter of the game named “In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner”, packed with content and events, as well as the long-awaited Photo Mode.

That said, we need a little more time to develop the first DLC in the story, which is now scheduled for release in September.

We apologize for this delay, but we firmly believe that our community, our fans and our players deserve truly unforgettable experiences.

We want the first major story DLC to meet your expectations by giving it the highest level of quality possible.

Thank you for your trust and support,

#PeopleOfTechland

Here are the details of the future additions planned for this year, the studio reiterating in passing its desire to support Dying Light 2 Stay Human over at least 5 years.

From June to August 2022

  • Picture mode.
  • Community events.
  • Chapter 1: In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner:
    • Agent and Rank System;
    • Missions and bonuses;

    • New enemies.

From September to November 2022

  • 1st paid narrative DLC (September).
  • Chapter 2 :

Beyond

The chapter system with this mention of rank is also quite curious. Is Techland plans to follow the fashion of the seasons? We should have more details on this soon.

Otherwise, we still have no news of the Switch version of the playable game thanks to the clouds, which was to be released within 6 months of the initial launch. You can always get Dying Light 2 on Amazon from €51.05.
