The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max under iOS 16.1 add the possibility of following a match via Dynamic Island. Enough to follow a match while doing something else.

Imagine, one game night, you’re out, you want to follow the score, but without keeping your nose constantly on your phone. Or maybe you like scrolling endlessly on Twitter, but you’re tired of constantly switching from one window to another to keep an eye on the progress of your favorite team. The iPhone 14 Pro, from iOS 16.1 beta 2, has just added THE functionality that perfectly matches the uses mentioned above.

This latest version of iPhone software allows developers to play with the “Live activities” function by adding a dedicated API. This feature, which until now was thought to be reserved for the lock screen, in fact works with Dynamic Island, the famous protean interface that does everything to make you forget the pill at the top of the iPhone 14 Pro.

Already conquered users

Users have already been able to try out the feature and have posted photos of their iPhones displaying it gloriously. In condensed view, you will only see the score and the emblems of your teams. By clicking on the dynamic island, you will see these elements displayed larger, accompanied by the playing time and the author or the author of the last goal.

If you lock your iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max, you’ll find these details at the bottom of your screen, just as they appear on all other iPhones.

How to try live activities

Unfortunately, live activities is not yet available in France. Users located in USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and South Korea can follow USA major league baseball. Those located in the United States and Canada can already follow the NBA and the Premier League in this way.

To activate it, nothing could be simpler, just open the TV application and tap on “follow” on the match that interests you. As a reminder, iOS 16.1 has not yet been officially released, it is still a beta.
