The 2023 cycling season is about to start. Anyone looking for a new e-bike will find what they are looking for in the Aldi online shop from February 27th. The discounter then sells an inexpensive trekking bike for women.
The Fischer VIATOR 2.0 offers 28-inch wheels, a Suntour suspension fork and a suspension seat post. The disc brakes work hydraulically, the Sun Race derailleur has eight gears.
The rear motor is the Bafang Silent Drive, which supports you with up to 45 Newton meters. The battery capacity is 557 watt hours and is therefore very decent. The bike tips the scales at 25 kilograms, which is within the normal range for e-bikes.
Overall, the trekking bike offers solid equipment. At 45 Newton meters, the engine’s output is in the lower midfield, but is also sufficient in hilly landscapes. However, if you are traveling in very mountainous regions, you should use a more powerful engine.
The battery capacity is decent and should also be sufficient for longer tours. The other components such as gears, brakes or suspension fork are not from the premium range, but they certainly serve their purpose.

The Fischer VIATOR 2.0 is available from the discounter for 1,399 euros. A good price, because Fischer himself still asks 1,749 euros for the bike. Other dealers currently do not have the bike in the equipment for sale.
