Aldi is currently offering a cheap e-mountain bike in its online shop. We take a close look at the e-bike range for you.

Aldi’s online shop currently has new e-bikes on offer. The discounter offers, among other things, an e-mountain bike for only 999 euros.
The pedelec has a rear motor from AEG, which supports you with up to 40 Newton meters. Current top models come in comparison to 85 Newton meters and more. Therefore, the performance is a bit low for very steep climbs, but otherwise sufficient.
The battery capacity is 499 watt hours. According to the manufacturer, this is sufficient for up to 130 kilometers, depending on the driving style and support level. The bike comes with 29-inch tires and a frame height of 48 centimeters. The suspension fork is adjustable, it comes from the manufacturer Suntour.
The circuit is a Shimano Alivio derailleur with 9 gears, and hydraulic disc brakes are installed, which ensure good braking performance. The e-bike weighs 24 kilograms, the permissible total weight is 150 kilograms.
The e-mountain bike from the discounter offers quite good equipment for its low price. It is not really suitable for use in difficult terrain and on steep climbs, but it is for regular tours off the beaten track.

The e-bike from Prophete costs 999 euros from Aldi, the manufacturer’s recommended retail price is just under 1,900 euros. In the manufacturer’s shop you currently pay around 1,500 euros – the discounter offer is therefore impressive.
