If you are currently looking for a new e-bike, you should take a look at Lidl’s current offering. The discounter has a well-equipped e-mountain bike from Fischer on offer, which was only recently available at Aldi but is now sold out there.

Here, however, the Fischer Montis 6.0i cost 2,199 euros, while Lidl currently only charges 1,923 euros – a significant price difference and a really good offer if we take a look at the components installed and the general equipment. The bike is particularly interesting if you don’t just want to ride on asphalt roads.

The e-mountain bike with an aluminum frame is available in two sizes: with a frame height of 46 or 51 centimeters. It has 29-inch tires equipped with Maxxis branded tires (model “Rekon”). Thanks to quick releases, changing tires is child’s play, and the car valve allows you to inflate them on the go at the gas station.

Strong motor, solid battery capacity

The heart of the system is a Brose Drive S mid-engine that supports you with up to 90 Newton meters. This puts the performance on par with top models that cost many times more. Steep climbs and tours through the mountains are possible without any problems. In addition, operation should be extremely quiet. All important information about speed, support level, etc. is displayed on the Brose display on the handlebars, and there is also an app connection.

The battery is integrated into the frame and has a capacity of 504 watt hours. A solid, although not a top value. Nevertheless, according to the manufacturer, it should be sufficient for a range of up to 120 kilometers – but of course only at the lowest support level and under optimal conditions.

SRAM gears and RockShox fork

The built-in 12-speed derailleur comes from SRAM, the hydraulic disc brakes from Clarks. Another highlight is the suspension fork from RockShox. While many manufacturers rely on no-name models for cheaper bikes, here you get a solid brand fork.

Even though the “Judy” is an entry-level model, it still costs between 170 and 250 euros in retail stores. There is no information about the suspension travel – we are assuming a model with 100 millimeters or 120 millimeters.

Additional equipment includes an ergonomic saddle from Ergotec, and the manufacturer also includes a battery-powered lighting set and reflectors so that the bike is roadworthy. The weight is around 24 kilograms, the permissible total weight is 135 kilograms.

Not just suitable for short tours

The Fischer e-mountain bike offers very good equipment at a price of just under 2,000 euros. Many components are models from the entry-level series – but that’s completely normal for the price. At least Fischer uses branded products.

The Pedelec scores points above all with its extremely powerful motor, the RockShox fork and the battery integrated into the frame, which also has a decent capacity.

The bottom line is that, in our opinion, the bike is not only suitable for short tours, but can also perform well off-road off-road. Light trails shouldn’t be a problem for the model either.

Fischer’s e-mountain bike currently costs 1,923.49 euros at Lidl. The recommended retail price is significantly higher at 2,849 euros. The bike was last on sale at Aldi, here for a whopping 300 euros more. So the Lidl offer is really good.
