(CercleFinance.com) – At its meeting on Wednesday, the E.ON Supervisory Board extended the contract of Chairman of the Management Board Leonhard Birnbaum for another five years, until June 30, 2028. Birnbaum is a member of the management body of the group since 2013 and has been CEO of E.ON since April 2021.
‘Leonhard Birnbaum is the man for the job to tackle the short-term challenges but also to take advantage of the opportunities that will present themselves to E.ON as a sustainable platform for Europe’s energy transition in the years to come’, says Karl-Ludwig Kley, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
“He leads E.ON with a steady hand through the current energy crisis and enjoys great trust and high regard from teams, suppliers and customers,” continues Karl-Ludwig Kley.
