The Booster option of Free Mobile’s €2 plan continues to evolve. After being set at 20 GB of mobile data for the modest sum of €4.99 per month in May 2024, the latter is already benefiting from a price drop.

On Twitter/X, the user @Tiino-X83, always well informed about Xavier Niel’s company, noticed on Tuesday June 4, 2024 that the option had increased to €3.99 per month.

According to Numerama, Free would have opted for this new price positioning in order to respond to a price drop from Sosh, RED and B&You. After the announcement of the 20 GB Booster offer, the low-cost operators of Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom have in fact reduced the price of their packages by €1. As a result, Free Mobile was no longer competitive with the competition.

In addition to the 20 GB of 4G in mainland France, the Booster option of the €2 Free package also allows you to benefit from 10 GB of data in Europe and the French Overseas Territories. This is a leap forward compared to the previous formula at €2.99 per month, which offered 5 GB in France and 6 GB within Europe and the French Overseas Territories.

In itself, the new 20 GB Booster for €3.99 per month is a bargain for subscribers who have not yet subscribed to the option. For those who have already given in, you will have to pay €10 to migrate to the new offer.
