Because of the pandemic, a lot will be different in 2021. Numerous games were presented again this year as part of a digital E3.

During the corona pandemic, gaming is the perfect pastime for many people. As part of the video game trade fair Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), numerous promising games have been announced over the past few days that will entertain video game fans in the months and years to come. And of course new material for games that have already been announced was presented. Here is a selection of titles that are particularly promising.

Tina in wonderland

Tiny Tina, the explosive brat from the popular “Borderlands” series, gets her own game. “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands” transports the looter shooter genre into a fantasy world full of monsters, magic and weapons. Stars like Andy Samberg (42), Will Arnett (51) and Wandy Sykes (57) lend the characters their voices. Ashly Burch (30) will play Tiny Tina again. Not much else is known, but one thing is certain: it will be chaotic! The game is expected to be released in early 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.

Surely some thought that “Elden Ring” will never hit the market. At E3, however, it was announced that From Software’s action role-playing game would be released on January 21, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. The adventurous world and its stories that players are allowed to experience come from none other than Hidetaka Miyazaki (47), the head behind the “Souls” series, and George RR Martin (72), who with “The Song of Ice and Fire ”created the template for the hit series“ Game of Thrones ”.

Massive battles with up to 128 players will be “Battlefield 2042” Offer. In different modes, including the new “danger zone mode”, squads of gamers face battles in a dynamic world. For example, storms can occur during a match. Of course, there are again countless weapons, vehicles, helis and jets available. Like the titles mentioned above, the new “Battlefield” will also be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. A release is planned for October 22nd. Before that, players should have the opportunity to test the action in an open beta. However, there are no more precise details on this yet.

From drug lord to dictator

Superheroes shouldn’t be missing either, because a very special group is given its own action adventure. On October 26th for the aforementioned platforms “Square Enix presents Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy” appear. Star-Lord and his cronies will move from one explosive situation to the next in the battle for the fate of the galaxy, and encounter other familiar and new Marvel characters in the process.

In the midst of the struggles of a modern revolution, gamers are in “Far Cry 6” involved. You have to try alone or together with a friend to overthrow the dictator Antón Castillo, played by “Breaking Bad” star Giancarlo Esposito (63). The action-packed adventure is slated for October 7th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Stadia and Amazon Luna. For buyers of a Season Pass, there is also “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon” in a Classic Edition for the consoles on top of that.

Microsoft announced that the release of “Starfield” for Xbox Series X / S and PC is scheduled for November 11, 2022. The role-playing game takes place in a universe newly designed by Bethesda – the first in 25 years. Big promises are made: players should go on a sci-fi journey, during which they can allegedly explore the endless expanses “in unprecedented freedom”. In the end, the answer to mankind’s greatest question should be offered. Whether this is “42”?
