I’E3 has still failed to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic three years ago. Like all shows, it was canceled in 2020 as a health security measure, but since then it has been looking to come back in force. Unfortunately, theE3 2023 had been canceled a few weeks before it was held due to lack of participants.
Can players count on the E3 2024 And E3 2025 to reconnect with their favorite video game lounge? Well, nothing is less certain. THE Los Angeles Tourism Board of Commissioners recently held a meeting to take stock of future activities in the city, and in the section dedicated to the conventions that will animate LA in the future, mention is made of the cancellations of theE3 for 2024 and 2025. Enough to free up a few hotel rooms at the beginning of June. I’ESAwhich has been organizing the show since its inception, still shared a brief statement to Stephen Totilo ofAxioswhich states:
The ESA is currently in discussions with ESA members and other stakeholders regarding E3 2024 (and beyond), and no final decision regarding shows has been made at this time.
It still doesn’t smell very good, but don’t panic for the players, THE Summer Game Fest has already announced that it will be making a comeback in 2024, we will have our dose of conferences and major announcements next year. And all year round, you can find games on promotion on Gamesplanet.
