EA announces the development of 3 Star Wars games by Respawn

There have been many rumors circulating about Respawn and its future plans for a long time now. Today, Electronic Arts came out of the silence to confirm the statements, and even a little more. The developers of Fallen Order are indeed at work for a sequel to the adventure game. But that’s not all, as the publisher also announced that Respawn is also working on two other games in the universe. Star Warsan FPS and a strategy game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, an expected sequel

There was little doubt about its existence, and there were many speculations as to the date of its announcement. Now formalized, there is no doubt that we should be entitled to the first images of the game in the months to come. However, what we already know about this sequel is that Stig Asmussen is still in the role of Game Director. We can therefore hope for an adventure just as thrilling as the first, allowing us to discover new planets and new species. But we can also hope for a refined gameplay, enhanced by the arrival of a space flight simulation.

Two new yet unknown games

However, if we already know what to expect for the first game, the other two have not yet seen their title revealed. The first is an FPS (first person shooter). Following the past of Electronic Arts and Respawn, it could be a new installment of Star Wars: Battlefront, but managed by a new development team. But a surprise cannot be ruled out, with the possibility of a game more freely inspired by titanfalltaking advantage of the aesthetics Star Wars. The game is notably directed by Peter Hirschmann, a regular in the franchise.

Finally, the last game is a collaboration between Respawn and Bit Reactor. The latter being former developers of Civilization and XCOM, there is no doubt that strategy would be at the heart of their game. We can therefore expect to find a timed turn-based game, requiring rapid decision-making. However, it could also be real-time strategy, pitting multiple players against each other to conquer territory or eliminate an opponent.
