Electronic Arts will soon kill a game that was appreciated by part of the community. We will have to prepare for his goodbye, but in the meantime, some surprises await us.
Sometimes it happens that the life of a game is cut short by the studio or publisher that brought it to life. EA to close Rocket Arena servers
But then, who are we talking about? From Rocket Arena, a 3v3 shooter game which was released in 2020. As its name suggests, you must master the art of rockets to become the champion of the arena. To do this, the characters incarnate have unique abilities that can be used during clashes. The nervousness of the title has made its reputation, even if it is not necessarily loved by everyone. Regardless, EA will soon give up on it only three years after its release, although we don’t know why.
The game’s servers will close on March 21, 2024, which still leaves some time to enjoy it. Moreover, community events are planned by EA before the deadline. This is sad news, but not as unexpected as you might think. Last November, a detail was noticed by players. Rocket Arena was no longer available for purchase on Origin, Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. The servers were still active, but it smelled like pine. EA therefore confirms what everyone thought, not without leaving a final message to the title holders.

Obviously, it was disappointing, but Rocket Arena was not unanimous. On Steam, it has a score of “Average” from 1,881 reviews. This isn’t particularly positive for EA, but that doesn’t mean it’s hated.
