License PGA Tour was linked to Electronic Arts from 1990 to 2015, and was also often associated with the name Tiger Woods. The collaboration between the video game publisher and the men’s professional golf circuit has stopped for a few years, bringing PGA Tour to approach other studios, in particular to give birth to The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA Tour and lately PGA Tour 2K21 in 2020.
The franchise will be coming home soon with a next gen reboot, EA Sports PGA Tour, confirmed last year, first for spring 2022, then for later, at an unknown date. You will have to be patient, because Electronic Arts already announces that the project is scheduled for spring 2023or in more than a year… The objective is always the same: to offer a real new generation golf game with the Mastersthe PGA ChampionshipI’US Open Golf and theopen British, world-renowned courses and statistics-based game data ShotLink.
