You need:

  • White craft paper for the Easter bunny stencil
  • White paper for the picture
  • scissors
  • Adhesive tape or masking tape
  • Ink box
  • Brush and water container
  • drinking straw
  • Glue

That's how it's done:

  1. For every blown picture that you want to make, you need two templates: To do this, cut out the same Easter bunny twice.
  2. Glue the first Easter bunny in the middle of the stomach and head on the sheet of paper, so that it can be removed again.
  3. Now mix many bright colors with plenty of water and apply them next to the stencil. Note: If the paint runs a little in the other direction to the Easter Bunny, it doesn't matter, the stencil will be removed later anyway. Immediately afterwards, blow away the paint with a straw so that it runs nicely to the side. Attention: Small children find it difficult to blow – it is better to just take a small blow picture or take long breaks in between!
  4. Once you have circled the rabbit, loosen the stencil and stick the second (clean) stencil on – the little work of art is ready!

Easter crafts for little gardeners

Sure, you could blow out Easter eggs and then paint and hang them up in the traditional way … but you can also do them as small ones Cress pots use – and the children can try their hand at gardening. An Easter basket from what grows! Here the Easter eggs are even as Very Hungry Caterpillar on the go … a nice idea for handicrafts that will catch the eye on the kitchen window sill.

You need:

  • White eggs
  • Brush, water pot
  • Craft paints
  • Cotton wool or paper towels
  • Cress seeds

That's how it's done:

  1. Eggs in upper third fold in and remove the shell. Collect the egg yolks and whites (tip: you can use them to make delicious scrambled eggs right afterwards).
  2. Eggshell wash thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Then add the Easter eggs Color in craft paints and brushes in bright colors. tip: If you want to imitate the Very Hungry Caterpillar, all eggs get the same color except for the first egg, which is decorated with a face.
  4. As soon as the eggs are dry, you can put them in egg cups or an egg carton or (if you want it more decorative) bed them on a piece of wood with moss. For the latter, it is best to glue the Easter eggs with hot glue – the parents take care of that).

Note:Cress not only grows in the ground, but also on cotton wool and kitchen paper. Fill one of the three options into the Easter eggs, then sow the cress seeds and keep your small growing station permanently moist. Then off to the windowsill (as sunny as possible) and now you just need a little patience …

Tip: Also works with chives!
