EasyJet welcomes three new directors

Low-cost airline EasyJet has welcomed a trio of new non-executive directors to its board of directors, while three of them have announced their departure. Former eBay chief Harald Eisencher, Detlef Trefzger, CEO of Swiss logistics company Kuehne + Nagel, and Ryanne van der Eijkl, former COO of Dubai Airports, will join the board in early September. Harald Eisencher will serve on the Remuneration and Finance Committees, Detlef Trefzger will become a member of the Audit and Security Committee.

Qaunt Ryanne van der Eijk will join the safety committee and will also become one of the directors representing the employees.

After four years, Nick Leeder, an independent non-executive director, decided to give up his seat on September 30, when he moved to Singapore.

After nearly 10 years on the board, Andres Bierwirth will not stand again at EasyJet’s next annual general meeting next year, alongside Julie Southern, who is leaving after five years to join British technology group RWS Holdings as non-executive director and designate chairman.

Moni Mannings, who was appointed Independent Director of EasyJet in 2020, will become a member of the Nominations Committee.
