Christie adds two new references to the GS range in order to offer a wider range in terms of luminous powers. The new DWU880-GS and DWU1100-GS have similar characteristics except for their laser source.
Two complementary power levels
The Christie GS range included four models covering the following outputs: 6750, 6900, 7500 and 10875 lumens. the DWU880-GS develops 8000 lumens while the DWU1100-GS offers 9500 lumens. The series is now complete with a wide and precise choice.
These projectors are based on a blue laser source associated with a phosphor wheel. Its lifespan is 20,000 hours. It passes through a wheel with four segments in order to reach the single chip DLP (0.67″).
GS projectors like these two models work in WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels), with the notable exception of the DHD850-GS in Full HD. Interchangeable optics leaves the choice between seven models covering from the ultra short focal length up to the 5.5:1 ratio for very long throws. Christie GS can project in all directions.
Extensive connectivity for all scenarios
The DWU880-GS and DWU1100-GS benefit from wide connectivity to integrate into any environment. First, we note the presence of two HDMI 2.0 sockets one of which is compatible HDCP2.2 for the most recent sources. There is also DVI, 3G-SDI and HDBaseT on RJ45 connector.
These projectors are compatible with Christie’s video processing software. On one side with Christie Twist to adapt the projection to non-rectangular surfaces and with relief, mainly for projection mapping. With Mystical Christieyou can combine several GS projectors for large image areas without any visible connection.
Projectors dedicated to intensive use
In summary, thanks to their high power, Christie GS projectors are dedicated to environments such as museums, conference rooms or even projection mapping. Their laser source allows them to operate all day if necessary. They are also suitable for rental. Finally, note that the Christie DWU880-GS is available in black or white finish to better blend into the decor.
