The eagerly awaited interest rate decision by the European Central Bank is due next Thursday. This is currently caught in a quandary. On the one hand, historical inflation must be combated, but on the other hand, weakening euro member states must not be left behind. This balancing act is currently like choosing between plague and cholera.
