(Reuters) – Monetary policymakers at the European Central Bank (ECB) have agreed to begin talks on reducing the institution’s balance sheet in early October, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

They could thus lead before the end of the year to an agreement on the reduction of the amounts reinvested from the arrival at maturity of the bonds held in the portfolio of the ECB, adds the article.
