Ecomiam: Customers return to Ecomiam stores, which sees its sales increase


(BFM Bourse) – The distributor specializing in accessible fresh frozen products and 100% French origin recorded an overall increase of 21% in its sales in the past quarter, with the opening of two stores in Brittany.

From June 1 to September 30 (which corresponds to the fourth quarter of the Quimper group’s fiscal year) the turnover of the Ecomiam stores reached 9.1 million euros, up 21% compared to the fourth quarter 2020/2021.

Over the past quarter, Ecomiam continued to expand its territorial network in the Brittany region with the opening of two stores (Matignon and Mordelles), thus forming a national network of 68 points of sale, compared to 27 when it was introduced in Scholarship in September 2020.

Increase in attendance

At constant sales area, store sales for the quarter returned to growth at 6.9%. The increase in activity was driven by the performance of the openings of the previous financial year and by a very good month of September which recorded a 12.9% increase in attendance.

Over the whole of the 2021/2022 financial year (ending in September), Ecomiam recorded store sales up 18.6% benefiting from 13 new openings over the financial year, including 69% in “new territories of conquest.”

“Thus, in a context of accelerating inflation, Ecomiam achieved a very good commercial performance confirming the solidity of its concept and the relevance of its commercial strategy in the service of its customers”, welcomes the Breton group.

In view of the level of activity achieved over the whole of the 2021/2022 financial year, Ecomiam anticipates a slight improvement in the gross margin in the second half. In addition, during the period, the company indicates that it has continued its marketing actions “in order to strengthen the brand’s reputation throughout the territory, the full effect of which on operations is expected in the 2022/2023 financial year. “

The title rose 4.44% to 5.18 euros around 4:30 p.m. but still lost more than half of its value (-60%) since the start of the year.
