Ecovacs expands its catalog with the Deebot T10 range

The Chinese manufacturer Ecovacs presents three new robot vacuum cleaners. All equipped with an AI, they are differentiated by the more or less complete docking station with which they are delivered.

A new range comes to enrich the already very complete catalog of Ecovacs: the Deebot T10. Although it is made up of three different models, there is still a common denominator to these robots: they are all equipped with AI AIVI 3.0 technology. The Horizon Sunrise 3 integrated processor would also make it 16 times more efficient than the previous equipment. Concretely, this artificial intelligence offers robots a better recognition of their environment, and therefore a more precise detection of obstacles.

A camera is installed on the front of the devices to complement this technology. It allows the user to observe his home in real time via a video call, an option that we find on other competing models, such as the Samsung Jet Bot AI+.

AI also comes into play when using the voice assistant. Because yes, the Deebot range can be controlled by voice thanks to Yiko and three microphones integrated into the devices. Users will need to wake up the voice assistant by saying a “Ok Yiko”, before being able to interact with him. The manufacturer then promises a “interactive experience […] unprecedented”; The usefulness of such a feature remains to be seen.

The three models are all equipped with two side brushes and a main brush, and have a suction power of 3000 Pa. They differ, however, in their washing system. The Deebot T10 and Deebot T10 Plus are equipped with a vibrating mop (600 movements per minute), while the Deebot T10 Turbo has two rotating mops (180 revolutions per minute), operating a pressure of 6 N on the ground.

Another major difference between these three references: the docking station delivered with the device in question. The entry-level Deebot T10 comes with a compact charging base. The Deebot T10 Plus, the intermediate robot, has a base ensuring the automatic emptying of the waste collector. Inside, a bag would have the capacity to swallow up to 60 days of dust.

Finally, the Deebot T10 Turbo, a premium model, comes with a base that strongly resembles that of the Deebot X1 Turbo that we tested. It is in fact composed of two water tanks which manage the maintenance of the washing function. The first of 4 l (enough for 400 m2 according to Ecovacs) is responsible for keeping the clear water necessary for washing and moistening the two mops; the second recovers the dirty water contained in the pads, which are themselves rinsed and dried by the station.

The Deebot T10 will be marketed for €699 from May 31; the Deebot T10 Plus will be sold at €899 from June 5 and the Deebot T10 Turbo at €1099 from July 21.
