Ed Sheeran’s daughter Lyra isn’t exactly the biggest fan of her father’s music. Often she even cries when Sheeran sings his songs to her.
Ed Sheeran (30) has millions of fans worldwide. But his eight-month-old daughter Lyra is apparently none of them. As the musician revealed in an interview with the British broadcaster “BBC Radio 1”, the little girl even cries when she hears her father’s songs.
“I sing my new songs to my daughter, but she’s not my biggest fan. She just cries!” Said the 30-year-old. Lyra wouldn’t cry with just one of his songs: “Shape of You”. The marimba sound contained therein did it to her after all, says Sheeran. “But she doesn’t like loud or intrusive noises.”
Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn (29) have been married since 2019. At the end of August 2020, their first child, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, was born. He had the birth of his daughter Musician announced on Instagram. “A quick message from me because I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you,” Sheeran wrote about a photo that showed a few baby socks, among other things. Seaborn gave birth to the first baby of the two – with the help of a “great team” of obstetricians. The girl is “beautiful and healthy”.
