He reveals that it was not he who refused to participate in the event, but it was the organizers who snubbed him. He then said during this interview:A lot of people keep telling me that Lionel Richie and Katy Perry are going to sing at the Charles III concert. I want to clarify one thing: nobody asked me.»
Even if Ed Sheeran could not have participated in this great concert since he is currently on tour for his latest album, he claims to have received no invitation from Buckingham Palace. Indeed many other artists have revealed to have received this famous invitation and to have declined it like the Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue or even Elton John.
