If you are looking for a cheap mobile phone tariff without a long contract, you will sooner or later stumble upon Edeka smart. The provider offers tariffs without a contract that you can cancel or change on a monthly basis. The provider also offers annual tariffs that you pay once and can then use for 12 months.
Anyone who decides on a tariff by March 31st and takes their own phone number with them will benefit from a bonus. Edeka smart normally pays you 10 euros to take your phone number with you, but you are currently getting a whopping 25 euros.
In the current campaign, Edeka smart is now also offering a starting credit of 10 euros – regardless of whether you bring the phone number with you or start as a new customer with a new number. If you combine the bonus, you can win 35 euros right from the start.
For example, you can use the “kombi S” package with 50 free minutes and 50 SMS per month and a list price of 4.95 euros for seven months free of charge. Or with the “kombi XL” you can make unlimited calls to all networks for a month, use 20 GB of data at the same time and at the end of the month you still have 10 euros starting credit with Edeka smart.

No contract, many options
The Edeka smart mobile phone tariffs you can choose from include “kombi S”, “kombi M”, “kombi L” and “kombi XL”. The smallest and cheapest tariff includes 50 free minutes, 50 free SMS and a data volume of one gigabyte for a total of 4.95 euros. If that’s not enough for you, you can of course go for the larger tariffs.
These all offer a flat rate for telephony and SMS within Germany; the surfing volume is staggered and is 5, 9 or 20 gigabytes, depending on the tariff. Of course, the prices differ accordingly. They range between 9.95 and 24.95 euros per month. There are no additional costs to start with, the SIM card will be delivered to you free of charge and there is no connection fee.
Even more? With “kombi MAX” there is also an all-net flat rate without data limits. With it you can surf and stream as much as you want. However, this also has its price. 94.95 euros are due per month.
If you want it to be as cheap as possible, you can choose the “talk” tariff. This costs a one-time fee of 9.95 euros and there are no fixed monthly fees. It is a telephony tariff where you pay 9 cents per minute or per SMS.
Annual plans available
So-called annual tariffs are now available from some providers. These cost a certain amount once and can then be used for a year. The tariffs then expire or are automatically extended if credit is topped up accordingly.

Edeka smart offers two options here. The PREMIUM annual package offers an all-network flat rate for telephony and SMS as well as 4 gigabytes of data volume. The package costs a one-time fee of 94.95 euros. The annual START tariff offers slightly more surfing volume at 12 gigabytes, but does not include flat rates. Here, however, you get 1,200 free minutes and 1,200 free SMS at a price of 59.95 euros.
eSIM option
Practical for use in smartwatches or modern tablets and smartphones: You have the option of ordering an eSIM, i.e. a digital SIM card, instead of a physical SIM card.
Strong network, highest throughput
Edeka smart uses the Deutsche Telekom mobile network. Although you don’t have access to the 5G network, there is LTE with a maximum speed of up to 300 megabits per second. This is more than enough even for video streaming in the highest quality.
