Edenred raises its 2022 EBITDA target after Q3 revenue beat expectations

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The specialist in payment solutions in the world of work Edenred raised its annual forecasts on Thursday after the announcement of a turnover higher than analysts’ expectations for the third quarter.

Edenred is now counting on a gross operating surplus (Ebitda) of between 810 million and 840 million euros. He was previously targeting an Ebitda of between 770 million and 820 million euros.

Over the period from July to September, the group’s total revenue came to 506 million euros, up 25.2% year on year in published data and up 21.4% organically.

Operating revenue reached 484 million euros in the third quarter, up 19.1% like-for-like. Other income (ex-financial revenue) amounted to 23 million euros, reflecting organic growth of 99.7%. Operating revenue is generated by the issue of prepaid service vouchers strictly speaking, while other revenue is generated by the investment of the group’s cash.

According to a consensus communicated by the company, analysts were anticipating, for the third quarter, total revenue of 482 million euros, compared to 405 million realized in the third quarter of 2021, and operating revenue of 465 million euros, against 393 million euros a year earlier.

Over the first nine months of the year, the group’s total revenue reached 1.43 billion euros, up 22.9% on a reported basis and 19.2% on a like-for-like basis.
