PARIS, Jan 17 (Reuters) – EDF CEO Jean-Bernard Lévy has called a “real shock” the French government’s decision to increase the volumes of electricity sold to the group’s low-cost competitors to limit the rising energy costs, in a message to his managers seen by Reuters on Monday.

According to the latter, this decision implies a loss of approximately 8 billion euros over 2022. (Report by Benjamin Mallet, written by Tangi Salaün)
