EDF: “Energie en Actions” withdraws its request for a stay of execution concerning the State takeover bid

January 24 (Reuters) – Energie en Actions, an association of employee shareholders and former employees of EDF, announced on Tuesday that it has withdrawn the stay of execution proceedings concerning the French state’s takeover bid for the energy company.

Energie en actions had initiated two procedures following the decision of the AMF which declared the takeover bid (draft simplified public purchase offer-Editor’s note) compliant for EDF shares initiated by the State, recalls the association in a press release.

It adds that it has taken note that the commitment of the French State to “not implement a compulsory withdrawal before the decision of the Paris Court of Appeal on the appeal on the merits” responded to its main request. (Written by Kate Entringer, edited by Matthieu)
