(CercleFinance.com) – EDF Renewables, a subsidiary of EDF, announced on Friday that it had completed the sale to Quebec Boralex of a 50% stake in five wind farms operated in Texas and New Mexico.
These five projects – representing a total capacity of 894 MW – were commissioned between 2014 and 2015.
In a press release, EDF Renewables justifies its decision by its desire to better balance its portfolio of assets and to have the funds necessary to launch new projects.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
