(CercleFinance.com) – Orano NPS, a subsidiary of Orano, announces the recent signing of a long-term contract with Cyclife, the EDF entity in charge of dismantling and managing nuclear waste, for the transport of sixteen worn steam generators (GV).
The large metal components will be transported from their operating site in Germany to Sweden to be processed at the EDF Cyclife industrial site.
The services cover the preparation, the realization and the coordination of a multimodal transport – road, river and sea – exceptional because of the dimensions and masses of the SGs (approximately 300 tons, 19 meters long and 5 meters in diameter) and type ‘Rip & Ship’, that is to say combining the extraction of the SGs and their transport.
