As a user by the name of @XenoPanther reported on Twitter, Microsoft has just updated the beta version of Edge. This new version has brought a change that is very visible to say the least, since the Internet browser now benefits froma completely new design, with rounded edges.

On the screenshots shared by the Internet user, we notice that Edge is now displayed with round corners rather than angular. The four corners of the window are still angular, but the display of websites itself has changed. On Twitter for example, the black interface is now bounded by rounded cornersand even at the scrollbar on the right side.

Microsoft changes the look of its Edge browser again

After adding a new sidebar for multitasking, Microsoft is therefore introducing a new important design change with these rounded borders. These seem to be present on all websites, and even around YouTube videosas you can see below.

This change is rather strange as far as videos are concerned, sinceit wastes some space for you to display the content. Nevertheless, Microsoft probably felt that this change was necessary to make the whole thing coherent.

For now, it seems that only a very small number of testers have access to this revamp. So it could just be a test from Microsoft, to see how users react if it were to roll it out to all users. If this were to happen, it is likely that the update for all would not arrive for at least several weeks.

With this new design, we imagine that Microsoft wants to modernize the appearance of its Internet browser. While its popularity is stagnating far from Google Chrome, this new redesign could well allow it to attract new users. And you, what do you think of this change?
