Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky has officially filed an offer with Vivendi to get his hands on the entire capital of Editis, learned Le Figaro. Contacted, the entourage of the businessman does not comment. The initial trio he formed with producer Stéphane Courbit and entrepreneur Pierre-Edouard Stérin is therefore no longer relevant. For their part, the two men would no longer be in the race to buy 100% of the capital of the second French publishing group.
In addition to Daniel Kretinsky, owner of CMI (the magazines Elle, Marianne, Franc-Tireur, Télé 7 Jours…), the Italian group Mondadori, owned by Silvio Berlusconi, the Canadian Quebecor and the media group Reworld would also have expressed their interest.
