After the call for donations from EELV to reimburse the presidential campaign following the failure of its candidate Yannick Jadot, Jean Lassalle had taken out the checkbook. As he told Paris Match last week, the Résistons candidate gave 10 euros. The check has been received but “we are not going to cash it”, explained Julien Bayou to AFP. “First because it’s a donation from a political party, and then we think he should do it to a feminist association, for example”, he tackles in reference to the accusations of sexual harassment revealed in 2017, weighing on the deputy .

EELV is approaching 2 million

After obtaining 3.13% of the vote himself in the presidential election, Jean Lassalle announced that he was going to help, ironically, the LR Valérie Pécresse, the ecologist Yannick Jadot and the socialist Anne Hidalgo, three of the candidates who did not did not obtain the 5% of the votes necessary to be reimbursed for their campaign expenses.

EELV, which has a first installment of 2 million euros to be repaid by the end of May, is “approaching” this sum, thanks to donations. “It is progressing, there are more donors than members” and “many donors who did not vote Jadot”, welcomes Julien Bayou. Last week, the party announced that it had raised 1.2 million euros in just a few days.
