He was 17 years old and had been struggling to stay alive for almost two weeks. The teenager was so far supported by a specialized structure, which is located in Hyères, in the Var, 900 kilometers from his mother.
“Last night, at midnight, my little angel, my toothbrush thief, my little lion with such a gentle gaze, flew to the stars, after 13 days of struggle. I have no more words… only immense pain, and the infinite love I have for him. My Samychou, I love you…forever. Your mom is heartbroken, but she knows you’ll never hurt again.” she wrote with great emotion during a publication on her Instagram account accompanied by a photo of Samy.

For many years, Eglantine Eméyé confided in her son’s disability and in particular on the consequences that this had had on her mental health as a mother. “I sometimes help parents who are in dramatic situations and who call on my association for help.
