Eifel practice: Jessica Ginkel succeeds Rebecca Immanuel

Rebecca Immanuel's successor in the ARD series "Die Eifelpraisis" has been found: Jessica Ginkel is now at the side of the country doctor.

The ARD series "Die Eifelpraxis" welcomes a new face in its ranks. Actress Jessica Ginkel (39) will join the cast as ex-charité nurse Vicky Röver and the main role alongside Simon Schwarz (49) alias country doctor Dr. Take over Chris Wegner. This position became vacant after Rebecca Immanuel (49) gave up her role as care assistant Vera Mundt after a total of nine films to devote herself to new projects.

Immanuel says of Ginkel as her successor: "I am delighted that a worthy successor has been found so that the relaxing stories about the 'Eifel practice' can be continued."

How will Ginkel's character get along in the Eifel?

Ginkel is already in front of the camera for two new films. Filming started last week in Monschau in the Eifel and is expected to continue until early September. "Vicky is a whirlwind who is still looking for the right place in his life and at the same time a strong woman who accepts and masters her life with all its ups and downs," reveals the 39-year-old about her new role. After Monschau, the character would return with mixed feelings. "Because there is still something here that is unspoken," the actress is already curious.

Ginkel started her career in 2006 at "Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten". She played Caroline Neustädter for three years before switching to the ZDF telenovela "Lena – love of my life". From 2013 to 2019 she was also seen in the RTL series "The Teacher". Since 2012, Ginkel has been in a relationship with the "GZSZ" actor Daniel Fehlow (45), with whom she has two children.
