PARIS (Reuters) – Eiffage announced on Wednesday that it had reached an agreement with TCI Fund Management for the purchase, for an amount of 1.194 billion euros, of 13.71% of the capital of Getlink, of which it will become the largest shareholder at the outcome of the operation with a stake of 18.79%.

Eiffage had acquired 5.08% of Getlink, the concession company for the Channel Tunnel, in 2018.

In a press release, the French construction and concessions group said it intended to be a long-term investor in Getlink and reserved the possibility of continuing its purchases depending on market conditions, but not considering submitting an offer. public on the capital balance.

He specifies that he financed the acquisition of the block of 13.71% of the capital of Getlink from his available cash.
