Eiffage: contracts for wind farms in Germany


(CercleFinance.com) – Eiffage, through Smulders (Belgian subsidiary of Eiffage Métal) has signed two contracts for the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farms in Germany. The contracts were signed with Ørsted, the world leader in offshore wind power in Germany.

Smulders will be in charge of the secondary structures of the foundations of the 23 wind turbines and the offshore substation for Gode Wind 3 as well as those of the foundations of the 83 wind turbines of the offshore park Borkum Riffgrund 3.

The Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm, located in the German North Sea, will have a total capacity of 913 MW and is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

The Gode Wind 3 wind farm, also off the German coast, will have a total capacity of 253 MW and is expected to be commissioned in 2024.

Once completed, these wind farms will produce the equivalent of the consumption of approximately 1.2 million households in Germany each year.
