May 16 (Reuters) – French construction and concession group Eiffage announced on Monday that it has won two major offshore wind power contracts off the coast of Germany from Danish group Ørsted.

The contracts cover the fabrication of secondary steel structures for the foundations of the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farms in Germany, Eiffage said in a statement.

This equipment will be mainly manufactured by the Polish factory of Smulders and their production will begin in May 2022, specified the group.

The two wind farms will produce annually the equivalent of the consumption of approximately 1.2 million households in Germany. (Report Diana Mandiá, edited by Jean-Michel Bélot)
