“Let’s Dance” star dedicates touching contribution to Detlef Soost

Ekaterina Leonova and Detlef Soost got on extremely well in the last season of “Let’s Dance”. Now the dancer has some moving words for her former show colleague.
Ekaterina Leonova, 37, and Detlef Soost, 54, competed together in the 17th season of “Let’s Dance” and ended up in third place. The chemistry between the two was right from the start. On social media, they gave their fans an honest insight into training: When the choreographer had difficulty remembering steps, he also appeared frustrated and emotional.
A friendship developed between Ekaterina and Detlef from their joint participation. Even after the show, they stayed in touch. “We write every day,” the fitness trainer revealed to GALA at the beginning of June. Now the professional dancer has dedicated emotional words to her friend online.

The reason: Detlef Soost celebrates his 54th birthday on July 2nd. “A wonderful person has his birthday today… Yes, my little one,” writes Ekaterina Leonova on her Instagram account alongside several photos with Detlef from their time together on “Let’s Dance”. “Many people ask me why I call you ‘my little one’. Because I know that behind the strong, self-confident and big man there is a very sensitive, loving and vulnerable boy,” the 37-year-old continues.
“We laughed, we cried, we were devastated”
The choreographer has “so much love” in him, gives everyone “a lot of attention, understanding and support”. Therefore, you can only love Detlef. “And how much have we experienced and been through with you? We laughed, we cried, we were devastated and we celebrated … and we won. No, we didn’t win the ‘Let’s Dance’ trophy, we won our friendship. And that is the greatest victory,” emphasises Ekat.
“I wish you, my little one, only the best in life: good health, lots of time with your loved ones and simply wonderful things that you would love to experience. Stay the way you are.” Leonova signed the emotional message with “Your kitten”. Detlef Soost, who has been married to singer Kate Hall, 41, since 2012, also shared the post on his account – and is sure to be pleased with the kind words from his good friend.
