Ekinops delivered a turnkey and tailor-made set to support teaching and research consisting of its OneOS6-LIM network infrastructure software manager and its vRouter to create a virtualized computing environment that runs several virtualized network functions (VNF) , including SD-WAN services from Ekinops.
The new NFV solution will run on a white-box solution, based on Lanner Electronics’ Intel x86 processor, using the open architecture of Ekinops’ OneOS6-LIM middleware. OneManage, tool for deploying new services, Design Studio, solution for creating virtualized services and Director from Ekinops support management functions and provide a simple, flexible and user-friendly interface for educational purposes.

The new virtualization solution will be studied by graduate telecommunications students to improve their understanding of major industry technology trends, including virtualization and network optimization that support the connectivity requirements of cloud computing and in its periphery (Edge).
