Ekinops is ahead of its growth target for 2022 – 07/11/2022 at 18:15

(AOF) – The second quarter marked a new peak of activity for Ekinops. The consolidated turnover of the specialist in telecommunications solutions dedicated to telecommunications operators and companies increased by 29% to 35.5 million euros. At constant exchange rates and scope, quarterly growth was 24%. Over the first half of 2022 as a whole, revenue jumped 25% to 63.3 million euros, i.e. 20% internal growth.

At mid-2022, the group is therefore well ahead of its annual objective of business growth at least equal to that recorded in 2021 (+12%) to tend towards +15%.

The company nevertheless remains vigilant with regard to the component crisis which continues in 2022 and should remain strongly present in the quarters to come. “To date, however, it has not caused any major impact on the Group’s activity, which, thanks to the control of its supply chain, largely outperforms its market and its competitors”, specified Ekinops.

The latter thus confirmed its objective of an Ebitda margin of between 14% and 18%, integrating human and technological investments to execute the new growth plan.

Finally, Ekinops continues to be particularly active in terms of external growth and to explore all acquisition opportunities that create value for the company.

The Threat of Open Technology, RAN

Equipment manufacturers will have to face this threat in the next few years. This new architecture consists in replacing the traditional antennas by software allowing more interoperability thanks to the cloud. Telecom operators will thus be able to strengthen innovation and increase their choice of suppliers. They will also be able to have access to more services and flexibility for network deployment and management costs which should decrease. For the moment, none of the major operators has switched to this new technology. Nevertheless, the freedom of choice of suppliers is a decisive element, underlined by the decision of Europe and the United States to sanction the Chinese Huawei for national security reasons.
