Elden Ring: A mind-blowing fan-made VR mode!

Have you always dreamed of being able to explore the Underworld in virtual reality? While it was possible for some time thanks to a mod, a fan has just created his own Elden Ring VR experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beautiful landscapes that the different areas of the game offer.

VR through Dreams

Dreams is an exclusive Sony production, allowing players to let their imaginations run wild. It is thus possible for them to create various universes, intrigues and other key elements which, in the end, will constitute a real video game. You will have understood it, Dreams is therefore a video game, which contains thousands.

An artist working notably for Media Molecule (originally Dreams) had the brilliant idea of using this nearly limitless creative platform to develop their own VR mode for Elden Ring. The result is breathtaking!

In this short extract unveiled by the author of the production, we are immersed in an almost dreamlike Entre-terre. The work of Martin Nebelong is more than remarkable, because he has created (through Dreams) every little detail of the magnificent landscape that is offered to us. One thing is certain, we want to dive in!

Unfortunately, only PlayStation players will have access to this more than remarkable creation. Who knows, maybe the hype around this production will encourage Martin Nebelong to create own Elden Ring VR mod?

VR is not a first

Indeed, VR on the Elden Ring has been around for quite some time. As early as April, only two months after FromSoftware’s production release, various projects of the genre had begun to appear. It’s that of Luke Rossaccustomed to the development of VR mods for various games (Cyberpunk2077, GTA V, or even Red Dead Redemption 2), which had conquered the players.

In first person view, the Shardless can therefore explore the Underworld in a totally unusual way. The VR mod is available by subscribing to the Patreon by Luke Ross, and is guaranteed nausea free.

“When rolling or performing other animations like combat moves, the camera follows the character’s head (so its position changes) but it remains oriented correctly based on what your head is doing in real life. So the horizon will stay horizontal and the world will always look stable.”
