Elden Ring: A new patch that balances PvP, and teases an upcoming DLC?

Elden Ring may have been released at the very beginning of the year, but no one has forgotten it, especially not bandai namco which continues to update the title to improve the experience. The Japanese publisher today released another major patch with the patch 1.07which mostly seems to address balance issues in all things PvP, but could also feature early references to future DLCwhich remains hypothetical for the moment.

The first traces of a DLC?

In this new patch 1.07, we notice that emphasis has been put on PvP with different damage scaling when fighting against other players. In other words, the damage has therefore been adjusted and will differ during PvP. Ashes of War have been hit particularly hard, not to mention some incantations that will damage enemies less.

Suffice to say that this should change a lot of things for PvP, and From Software warns us that this could cause other balancing on weapons, spells and weapon skills during invasions.

Apart from that, there are a whole bunch of usual fixes that we see happening in all the patches. To learn more, you can consult the full patch note on the Bandai Namco website.

But in addition to these fixes, dataminers like Lance Mcdonald found some rather interesting lines of code, which mention ray-tracing support and new maps never before seen in the game.

What revive the theory of a DLC for Elden Ring. And after all, the studio would be wrong to deny it, as the title is popular.
