Elden Ring: All playable classes and their characteristics

As in the Dark Souls, before starting the Elden Ring adventure, players will have to select a class from all those available. Of course, each of them has its own characteristics and narrative background. In function, these characters have certain strengths and weaknesses, which should be known before delving into the new title from FromSoftware. Moreover, they will not have the same starting level. Astrologer

The astrologer has a high level of Intelligence and Dexterity. He thus has high Spirit points. Possessing, from the beginning, a stick, a sword and a small shield, he is described as a scholar, able to read the stars. Heir to the school of brilliant sorcery, he therefore acts as a mage/sorcerer.

Bandit

Hitting enemies’ weak points and excelling in ranged combat, the bandit has, from the start, a dagger, a shield to perform parries, a bow and arrows. He has high points of Arcane and Dexterity.

Confessor

A church spy, skilled in swordsmanship and incantations, the Confessor is adept at covert operations. Possessing a level 10 from the start of the adventure, he is equipped with a broadsword, a shield and a finger seal. As for his stats, he has a high Faith level and good physical condition.

Warrior

Already available during the closed network test of Elden Ring, the Warrior will indeed be part of the roster in the final game. With high points in Dexterity and a good physical condition, he has an exceptional technique allowing him to wield the double blade. He is equipped with two scimitars and a shield of light.

Hero

Prisoner

Equipped with an iron mask hiding his head and giving him a terrifying appearance, the Prisoner has many Intelligence and Dexterity points. Before being imprisoned for unknown reasons, he would have studied witchcraft. From the beginning of the adventure, he has a thrust, a stick and a shield.

Prophet

Present on the closed network test, the Prophet will be one of the playable classes on Elden Ring. He acts as a healer, as he poured into healing incantations, according to the official description. He is clairvoyant and therefore has many points in Faith, Spirit, Arcane and Force. He will have, at the start of the adventure, a spear, a finger seal and a small shield.

Samurai

A fighter from the distant land of the Reeds, the Samurai has great Dexterity. He also has medium Strength and good Stamina, Spirit, and Stamina stats. By starting the game with him, players have a katana, a bow, a shield and arrows.
