If you’ve explored the Underworld from top to bottom, you surely know that Malenia the Sword of Miquella is without a doubt the most formidable boss in Elden Ring. Although optional, Malenia is a key character in the universe of FromSoftware’s latest game and her second phase as Goddess of Decay spares no Splinter. But then, if Malenia is indeed the most powerful of the bosses, could she defeat them all?
Malenia, stronger than the Lord of Elden
Garden of Eyes, a YouTuber behind many Elden Ring mods, including the invocation of the mythical Let Me Solo Herhad this fabulous idea to oppose Malenia to each boss of the game. He therefore asked himself the question “Malenia is one of the strongest bosses in Elden Ring, so will another boss be able to beat her, or at least bring her to her second phase?”, and developed this mod allowing the Goddess of Decay to compete against the creatures of the Underworld.
For more than 40 minutes, it is therefore possible to observe in spectator view the fights of Malenia, which are linked and only confirm the power of the latter. His shortest fight remains the one against Godrick’s soldier, who succumbs after only one attack from Miquella’s sword. The longest is the one that pits Malenia against the Fire Giant, who gives the boss a hard time due to her heavy shield attacks.
Who can defeat Malenia?
Finally, in this mod anyway, Miquella’s sword is not the most powerful in the game and is knocked down by two more bosses !
- Maliketh, the Ebon Blade. Although Malenia overcomes the Bestial cleric, she will succumb to the second phase of the latter, that is to say, Maliketh. The latter is one of the most difficult bosses in the game, and terrifies all his opponents thanks to his agility and aggressiveness. It is therefore hardly surprising to see him rival the speed of Miquella’s sword, and overcome it.
- Radahn, the scourge of the stars. This fight left some users skeptical. Indeed, the fight against Radahn starts from very far away and Malenia must try to get closer to the boss. An approach that is impossible, because the scourge of the stars chains the arrows and defeats Miquella’s sword from a distance. A bitter victory therefore, which is however not very representative, in the absence of a hand-to-hand combat
In any case, although she was defeated twice during these epic fights, Malenia is still impressive thanks to her speed and her deadly combos. She terrorized many of the Shinless around the world… except one !
Let me solo her, the biggest threat to Malenia
Certainly Maliketh and Radahn managed to defeat the goddess of putrefaction, but did they beat her 1000 times? No. The only one to have achieved this feat is the legendary Let me Solo Her, who recently challenged himself to kill Malenia 1000 times. The 1000th kill was streamed, making it legendary.
If there is therefore a person that Malenia dreads in the Underworld, it is KleinTsuboiOW, alias the terrible Let me Solo Her, Miquella’s Sword Nightmare! In the meantime, there is no doubt that the goddess of putrefaction will have marked the minds of players around the world, and, despite these 1002 defeats, its splendor is still far from being tainted.
