Elden Ring completes development and confirms release in a month

Well, of course, the video was certainly recorded before the discovery of a security vulnerability in the source code of the Dark Souls trilogy, but let’s avoid attracting the evil eye and assume that the new FromSoftware license does not use not the offending code. Because until proven otherwise, the development of the game is complete and the latter can prepare the stage of mass production while FromSoftware devotes its next weeks to the realization of the launch patch.

The development is going smoothly. Elden Ring was originally slated for release in January of this year, and it was pushed back once to February. But rest assured, the title will be ready to go on sale on February 25. The master build has already been submitted and right now the team is working on a day one patch to make sure everything in the game is just right.“, confirmed the producer Yasuhiro Kitao, who was already part of the launch of Bloodborne at Japan Studio before joining FromSoftware.

Note that while everyone’s ratio to the challenges of FromSoftware games may vary and cannot provide an official lifespan figure, Kitao estimates that those who stick to the main path will be able to finish the game in 30 hours. Open structure obliges, it will however be necessary to add a few dozen additional hours for those who want to go further in their exploration of the world. What’s more, be aware that a single journey will not be enough to get 100% given the presence of a few branches at the end of the game.
