The Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21st. Here you can find all the new information about the preload and the release time.

- The Elden Ring DLC is said to be 16.5 gigabytes in size.
- A preload function will apparently be available from June 19th.
- On release day you should be able to play directly from midnight.
The expansion (“DLC”) Shadow of the Erdtree will be released for Elden Ring on June 21st. Before the release, you still have the opportunity to pre-order the DLC with a discount.
New release details have now been shared by user PlaystationSize on X (Twitter). According to his post, the expansion will be available for preload as early as June 19th.
In addition, the X-post contains information about the download size. You apparently need 16.5 gigabytes of free storage space for the DLC. This makes the main game almost 3.5 times as big as Shadow of the Erdtree.
If you install the DLC before June 21st, you should be able to play it from midnight on the day of release. The X user revealed this in a comment under the post.
Please note, however, that you must meet certain requirements to be able to play the expansion. Not every Elden Ring player can enter the new area immediately.
