Elden Ring DLC: That’s why Bandai Namco could soon reveal a trailer or release date

• There are new entries in the Steam database for Elden Ring.
• This could indicate that a DLC announcement is imminent.
• The DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree” does not yet have a release date.

An expansion (“DLC”) called “Shadow of the Erdtree” is planned for Elden Ring, which currently does not have an official release date. Bandai Namco only announced in February that development work had already begun.

However, after a fan recently noticed various updates on Steam’s database website (SteamDB), speculation regarding a possible announcement about the DLC has started again. Now another fan on X (formerly Twitter) has discovered additional changes.

Entries in the SteamDB

SteamDB is a platform from Valve that allows you to track changes to game databases and files. As the X user PC_Focus reports, there were various updates in the Elden Ring database on December 4th.

There are various new entries called “pd” followed by a number as well as changes called “dev-release”, “dev-debug” and “development”.

Past changes in SteamDB

According to PC_Focus, there were similar changes to Steam’s database before the release of the Colosseum update last year.

As a result, it is conceivable that there could be new information about “Shadow of the Erdtree” during the upcoming Game Awards.
