Elden Ring far exceeds Sekiro and Dark Souls 3 records on Steam

It’s today that finally comes out Elden Ringwhich was expected by a whole community eager to see what FromSoftware could do by transposing his classic formula from souls in an open world. The least we can say is that the result convinced the press, and the public can now access the game without waiting. Looking at the first figures from Steam, we can clearly say that the game is already a commercial success, potentially the best for the studio.

The consecration for From Software

Thanks to the information collected by SteamDB, we can then see that the game has managed to reach a peak of 764,835 concurrent players on Steam, which is colossal for a game primarily focused on the single-player experience. For comparison, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice had “only” gathered 125,315 people for its biggest peak on the platform, against 129,975 for Dark Souls III. This then allows Elden Ring to rise to seventh place in the highest peak of Steamall the same.

The analyst Daniel Ahmad also points out that the game is a hit on Twitch, being the 16th most watched game on the platformall periods combined.

A resounding success, while the game has only been available for several hours. This weekend could therefore hold other surprises and push the title even higher.
