It’s a valid discussion. I feel like our approach to these games, not just Elden Ring, is to design them to encourage the player to overcome adversity.. We don’t try to force it or make things difficult just for fun. We want players to be cunning, study the game, memorize what happens and learn from their mistakes. We don’t want players to feel like the game is unfairly punishing, but rather that there’s a chance to survive a tough encounter and progress. We understand that Souls are regularly associated with impossible difficulty levels with difficult barriers. But we try to design the games to make this cycle of failure and success enjoyable in itself. »

In Elden Ring we didn’t intentionally try to lower the difficulty of the game, but I think more players will finish the game this time.
