Elden Ring: Invisible walls aren’t the only secret passages in the game!

The players of Dark Souls accustomed to the pranks of FromSoftware know it: the developers are little jokes. Already, they are having fun putting a life bar on our character when it will probably be done one shot by the first boss, but mostly they like to force us to search in every corner if they haven’t concealed important elements in the decor.

Elden Ring is no exception to the rule, since today we discover that in addition to the illusory walls that must be knocked down to reveal the secret passage, there are also invisible paths that lead to treasures.

Where we’re going, we don’t need a road.

What are Hidden Paths and how do I reveal them?

The illusory walls are finally secret passages that are not very risky, you just have to hit them, just making sure that an enemy will not arise behind your back. And you know what they say: “if you don’t succeed the first time…” it’s because it took fifty! The invisible paths are a little more dangerous, even downright deadly.

Literally invisible, they are usually suspended in the void, so you’ll have to jump to land on it. Well… If you’re lucky. If you want to find them yourself, you have two options: throw you off every wall and every cliff in every possible direction only to realize that 99.9% of the time the only secret path you will discover is a shortcut to death, or using rainbow stones.

Rainbow stones are not the most interesting items in the game at first glance, but they still have a nice effect: if you throw them down from a high point, they will tell you if the fall is fatal or not. If the stone breaks, better not jump. On the other hand, if it remains intact and illuminates the area, you can go down safely. So you can use it for mark invisible pathsbecause if a stone remains suspended in the void, there is in fact a platform.

Where to find the secret passages of Elden Ring?

As for the invisible paths, we discovered some only two for the moment. You will find the first in the direction of the Sacred Tree, after passing through Rold’s elevator, by throwing yourself from the top of a circular platform on which a portion of the balustrade is missing. The second is found behind the Stone Tower of Heretic Shardwhere you’ll find a ruined bridge that is actually passable if you follow the right path.

Illusory walls are starting to be well listed, for now players have them. discovered about fifteen. If you’re playing online, you’ll usually have messages in the chat to let you know where they are. You can also search for them on your own, because except Volcano Manor area which is a bit special, secret walls are usually detectable. whatever sound (close noises that do not come from any visible area) or visual (library without book), you have ways to discover them without having to type on all the decorations of the game.

As for Volcanor Manor and its perfectly undetectable walls that take fifty hits to destroy, the mystery still remains. Bug, will of the developers, event of a future DLC already partially implemented? The studio has yet to answer the question.

In order to defeat the formidable bosses of Elden Ring, it is more than necessary to have in your possession vials of lives, allowing you to quickly regenerate your HPs. What if we told you that there was another way to heal yourself, without even having to resort to these vials?
