Elden Ring: Less stressful and more affordable than Dark Souls, according to Miyazaki

There are only a few weeks left until the official release of FromSoftware’s next game (Dark Souls Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice), Elden Ring. For a few days, the communication around the title has intensified. This time, it was the president of the studio, Hidetaka Miyazaki, who spoke about the difficulty of the software.

Well aware of the constant debate around whether or not a game is too difficult, the developers at FromSoftware have not “intentionally reduced” the challenge to Elden Ring. On the other hand, Hidetaka Miyazaki thinks that being able to explore Elden Ring in multiplayer and in a fairly large open world will make everything much more affordable for players. So he expects to see more people succeed in completing Elden Ring.

In a brand new PlayStation Blog interview, Hidetaka Miyazaki spoke about the inherent difficulty of FromSoftware titles and especially Elden Ring. He thus said: I would like new players to feel relaxed and to be able to approach the game at their own pace”. Afterwards, he said: ” I realize that even though we offer games with a high level of challenge, we design them in a way that feels satisfying to overcome. But I don’t want new players to worry or stress too much about this difficulty… They can come back to something later when they’re in a bind to have that freedom to progress and not have to bump their necks. head against a wall again and again ».
