Elden Ring: Patch 1.03 changes a lot of things, with nerves in the program

Despite immense undeniable qualities, Elden Ring didn’t come out without issues, especially when it came to balancing. FromSoftware is well aware of this and has therefore made many changes which are finally available with version 1.03 of the gamewhich you can download right now, which nerfs some abilities somewhat, while giving other perks for a more balanced gameplay experience.

The list of changes in version 1.03

One of the main novelties of this version 1.03 is the addition ofa function to save the location and name of an NPC on the map. A very useful detail to better identify the less visible secondary characters in this very large world. Moreover, we discover a new character with this update, named Jar-Bainwhile NPC quests have been improved and enriched, such as those of Kenneth, Nepheli and Diallos.

As far as rebalancing is concerned, it is now necessary to give up on the too great power of the invocation Tear imitatorwhich has been weakened, just like the damage done by the Sword of Burning Night. The Ash of War Freezing Stomp has also had its potency reducedand its cast time increased.

However, some spells will cost less mana to cast, while forging stones will now occur more frequently in the world and on the enemies.

Appreciable little changes that should change a lot of things, especially for the game’s speedrun scene. You can find the full list of fixes on the publisher’s official website.
